Be thou not afraid

For I am with you always

The promises I made

Will go with you all the way

When persecutions come

To test your faith in Me

Remember what I told you

And be thou not afraid

Be thou not dismayed

When those you love reject you

Like those I came to save

Who turned their backs on Me

They mocked Me and they beat Me

And they nailed me to that tree

But I have overcome the world

So be not thou dismayed

I did not come to judge the world

I came to save the lost

Knowing I would have to suffer

On that Roman cross

To make atonement for the sins

Of all humanity

My Father gave His only Son

To set His people free

Be thou not afraid

For I will never leave you

And I will not forsake you

When temptation comes your way

And if you slip and fall

Confess what you have done

And you will be forgiven

So be thou not afraid

You will be forgiven
