When The Bridegroom Takes His Bride

Every heart has a sorrow, every eye has a tear
Every day needs a tomorrow, everybody needs a prayer
Every sinner needs forgiveness for the wrongs that they have done
Everybody needs the Saviour, that is why God sent His Son

It is written in the Bible, what I know very well
There’s a narrow way to heaven and a broad way into hell
Where many will be gathered with the devil by their side
Will your name be found in heaven when the Bridegroom takes His bride

When the Bridegroom takes His bride, will you and I be there
To witness the reunion of the one He loves so dear
When the roll is called up yonder and the books are opened wide
Will your name be found in heaven when the Bridegroom takes His bride

Every time I think of Jesus and what He did for me
I’m thankful for the gospel and the cross on Calvary
Where YAHWEH sent His only Son to suffer and to die
To make atonement for the sins of those like you and I

There’s a narrow way to paradise that many will not find
It’s only through the blood of Christ shed for all mankind
That we can enter heaven through His hands and feet and side
Will your name be found in heaven when the Bridegroom takes His bride
