To God be the glory

Innocent Blood

There was innocent blood shed for you and me

And Innocent hands nailed to a tree

And innocent feet pierced through and through

When Jesus gave His life for me and you

When you feel like quitting, keep on keeping on

And don't give up until the work is done

If you fight the fight until the battle is won

You will keep your faith until the Saviour comes

There was innocent blood shed for you and me

And Innocent hands nailed to a tree

And innocent feet pierced through and through

When Jesus gave His life for me and you

If you take a look around you tell me what do you see

In this world of woe and inhumanity

My children don't be discouraged now but be of good cheer

For the Saviour of the world will soon be here

There was innocent blood shed for you and me

And Innocent hands nailed to a tree

And innocent feet pierced through and through

When Jesus gave His life for me and you

Take heed my child don't be deceived

For what the LORD has said must come to be

When you hear of trouble don't be afraid

If you endure until the end you will be saved

There was innocent blood shed for you and me

And Innocent hands nailed to a tree

And innocent feet pierced through and through

When Jesus gave His life for me and you

Surely all these things must come to pass

Cruel wars and famines they will not last

When the Word of God reaches every land

Then the Son of God will come to earth again

There was innocent blood shed for you and me

And Innocent hands nailed to a tree

And innocent feet pierced through and through

When Jesus gave His life for me and you

Take heed my children watch and pray

For you do not know the hour or the day

When Jesus will return again

To reign on earth as LORD and King of kings

There was innocent blood shed for you and me

And Innocent hands nailed to a tree

And innocent feet pierced through and through

To show His love for those like me and you

The Saviour gave His life for me and you

And it's a shame to see what lawlessness can do
