Jacob's Well

I met God through Jesus Christ

Sitting at the well of life

He told me to follow Him

And He would wash away my sin

With living waters I've been cleansed

And I will never thirst again

Now I will praise and worship Him

Until the day I die

LORD,  give me wisdom now I pray

I met God at Jacob's well

He told me to go and tell

The good news of the gospel truth

To every woman, man and youth

To every nation, every tongue

Spread the news to everyone

Tell the world what God has done

Through Jesus Christ the Saviour

I met God at Galilee

I watched Him set the captives free

He healed the lame and raised the dead

And I remember what He said

Love the LORD with all your heart

Obey His laws and do your part

Take the time to kneel and pray

And rest upon the seventh day

LORD,  give me wisdom now I pray

I met Jesus at the cross

When all my hope was all but lost

He took my sins and set me free

And nailed them to that dreadful tree

With living water mixed with blood

He bore my sins into the flood

Now I am living in His love

Now isn't that amazing

LORD,  give me wisdom now I pray

I met Jesus at the tomb

He told me He's coming soon

To put an end to Satan's reign

And to rid the world of death and pain

With power and with majesty

The dead in Christ will rise to see

The One who sets the captives free

Has come to take us home

LORD,  give me wisdom now I pray

I met God at Jacob's well
