Psalm  1 - Blessed Is He

Blessed is he who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly

Nor stands in the sinner's way

Blessed is he who does not sit in the seat of the scornful

But his delight is in the law of YAHWEH

And he reflects upon His law day and night

He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water

That brings forth his fruit in his season

His leaf shall not wither and whatsoever he does shall prosper

But the ungodly are not so

They are like the chaff which the wind drives away

An ungodly man shall never stand in the day of judgment

Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous

For YAHWEH knows the way of the righteous man

But the way of the ungodly man shall perish
